St. Kuriakose, (‘Mor Kuriakose Sahda’) is an infant martyr of unmatched glory. He received martyrdom at the tender age of three along with his devout mother Yulithy, in 303 AD. The mother and son were said to have fallen into the hands of the persecutors of Seleucia. Yulithy refused to answer their questions or deny her faith at her trial before the Governor of Seleucia. Enraged at her defiance, the Governor began questioning the child. A prefect tried to save the child, but the child answered all their promises and threats alike, saying "I am a Christian". In a rage, the Governor chopped off his tongue, dashed the little child's head on the steps killing the child instantly. The child’s body was brutally tortured, salt and sulphur filled in the nose, iron nails pierced through the tender body, cut it into pieces and put the body pieces in boiled water. As a miracle the body parts were joined and became one body. His mother, Yulithy thanked Heaven for her child's glorious martyrdom and she also in her tortures lead to crucifixion.
The holy mortal remains of Kuriakose Sahda was entombed in Malekurish Chappel on January 28, 1901 by Saint Geevarghese Mor Gregorios, (Parumala Thirumeni). Hundreds of people from far and near visit the Chappel and participate in the Holy Qurbana celebrated on every Friday and Sunday. On all Fridays, people used to offer pachor nercha praying for intercession of the Sahada and receive abundant blessings in terms of miracles in their lives through the intercession of the Sahda.

Dr. Sajith K. S, is an accomplished academician and administrator with a strong foundation in Environmental Chemistry and a distinguished career spanning teaching, research, and institutional development. Dr. Sajith completed his graduation in Environmental Chemistry from Maharaja’s College, Ernakulam, followed by post-graduation in Environmental Chemistry from Sree Sankara College, Kalady. He further pursued his research ambitions at the School of Environmental Studies, Cochin University of Science and Technology (CUSAT), where he earned his PhD, specialising in areas that reflect his deep commitment to environmental research and sustainability.
Dr. Sajith began his professional journey in 2009 as a Lecturer at the Government Engineering College, Cherthala, marking the start of his dedication to higher education. In 2012, he expanded his expertise beyond academics by serving as a Project Scientist at the Centre for Earth Research and Environment Management (CEREM)- India, contributing to multidisciplinary projects connected to environmental monitoring and management. His return to the academic realm came in 2013, when he joined the Department of Chemistry at Maharaja’s College, Ernakulam, as a Lecturer in Environmental Chemistry. Over the years, he has been involved not only in teaching but also in shaping research culture, mentoring students, and supporting the growth of environmentally focused academic initiatives.
In 2023, Dr. Sajith took up a new role at the Naipunnya Institute of Management and Information Technology, where he served as the Head of the Centre for Innovation Extension and Continuing Education. His work there highlighted his interest in connecting education with societal needs, fostering innovation, and encouraging community engagement.
In 2025, he assumed the position of Principal at AIMS Peerumade, contributing to the academic leadership and strategic development of the institution. On 1st December 2025, he joined St. Kuriakose College of Management and Science as Principal.
